ZARA LARSSON X COLOURPOP COSMETICS

For my final project, I created a fictional makeup collaboration between Zara Larsson and ColourPop Cosmetics inspired by Zara’s recent viral makeup looks and her fun, confident Y2K summer pop star persona. The collection focuses on bright, glossy, beach-inspired beauty products that feel nostalgic while still fitting today’s beauty trends. The collaboration features six lip glosses in fruity flavors including mango, berry, guava, cherry, and orange, along with a seashell-shaped eyeshadow palette inspired by summer beaches and early 2000s aesthetics. To market the collection, I developed a full campaign strategy that included a beach-themed pop-up shop placed in the middle of the city, street billboard advertisements, social media content, and a short video advertisement designed to reach audiences across different platforms and environments. The project began with a vision board filled with Barbie-inspired visuals, beach imagery, Y2K fashion references, and other summer-related aesthetics that helped guide the overall creative direction of the campaign.

vISION BOARD

I started the project by creating a vision board to establish the overall aesthetic and mood of the campaign. I collected inspiration from Y2K pop culture, Barbie visuals, beach imagery, bright summer colors, glossy makeup looks, and early 2000s fashion. This helped me define the creative direction and maintain consistency throughout the project.

Brand Toolkit

The brand toolkit was created to organize the visual identity of the collaboration. It included the project’s typography, color palette, logo usage, and overall branding guidelines. The toolkit helped me create a cohesive look across all campaign materials and products.

LIPGLOSSES

For the lip gloss collection, I designed six different glosses inspired by fruity summer flavors such as mango, berry, guava, cherry, and orange. The packaging was designed to feel playful, glossy, and nostalgic while still matching current beauty trends and Zara Larsson’s personal style.

Street Ads

To promote the collection, I created a series of street billboard advertisements designed to feel bold, eye-catching, and immersive. The ads were inspired by summer pop campaigns and were intended to grab attention in busy city environments.

Eyeshadow Palette

I designed a seashell-shaped eyeshadow palette inspired by beach aesthetics and summer vacations. The palette featured bright and shimmery shades that reflected the colorful, fun energy of the collaboration while also tying into the Y2K-inspired theme.

POP UP SHOP

As part of the marketing campaign, I designed a beach-themed pop-up shop experience placed in the middle of the city to create excitement and attract attention both in person and online. The pop-up was inspired by summer boardwalks, Y2K beach culture, and tropical vacation aesthetics, featuring colorful decor, and interactive photo opportunities,

Instagram Feed

I designed a mock Instagram feed to show how the campaign would appear on social media. The feed included product photography, promotional graphics, campaign visuals, and lifestyle-inspired posts that reflected the overall branding and aesthetic of the collaboration.
